I have always been involved with dogs as I was raised on a dairy /
sheep farm. I purchased my first German Shepherd in 1972; by 1974
he was titled 'Companion dog Excellent' and was a top obedience
dog in his time. |
|
|
|
From the age
of 14 I was an obedience instructor with the North Taranaki
Obedience Club and also trained with dogs for the
Police Force and for Search and Rescue. |
|
|
|
As well as
training and handling dogs for obedience, agility, trials and
tracking, I also compete in the conformation ring, and regularly
travel throughout New Zealand, as well as visiting and attending
shows in both Australia and Germany. |
|
|
|
At the end
of the day, what is of the most importance to me is to teach
people how to handle and raise their dogs correctly and to
understand the meaning of dog ownership. |
|
|
|
With over 30
years experience of owning, handling, and training dogs in all
disciplines, Hanshi Kennels are well equipped to offer training or
advice for any dog related hobbies or problems. |
|
|
|
We can
help with training for obedience, the conformation ring, agility,
trials, or any behaviour problems that may crop up, including
barking, aggression, submissive behaviour, etc. For
absolutely anything dog related, we are here to help you. |

|
We can also
help people wishing to mate their bitch, with whelping their
bitch; with any aspect of dog ownership. |
|
|
|
We are
always here, offering friendly, professional advice, and the
keeping and treatment of any dogs under our care is of utmost
importance to us. |
